A good place to start your adventure into Zion National Park is the Canyon Overlook. Traveling from the Windwhisper Bed and Breakfast to the East Zion National Park Entrance enjoy the vast array of wildlife. Watch for deer on the side of the road and the buffalo in the fields. From the Park entrance, you will pass several amazing sights such as the Checkerboard Mesa. Stop at the second tunnel. You are there. Most people like to start at the Canyon Overlook because it gives you a full view of the canyon. It is a moderate climb and it is breathtaking.

To go to the lower park, you will go through a sandstone tunnel 1.3 miles long. Grab a shuttle buss which will take you to the remaining trails. These shuttle buses stop at every hiking point in the lower canyon and are a wonderful addition to the park.
